The ProMaster EV has vehicle speed sensitive variable-assist power steering, for low-effort parking, better control at highway speeds and during hard cornering, and a better feel of the road. The E-Transit doesn’t offer variable-assist power steering.

The ProMaster EV has a 6410 lbs. towing capacity. The E-Transit has no towing capacity.

Standard Trailer Sway Control on the ProMaster EV uses the Electronic Stability Control sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The E-Transit doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

The ProMaster EV’s front power windows lower with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside of the car. The E-Transit’s passenger windows don’t open automatically.

The ProMaster EV’s standard Keyless Enter ‘n Go allow you to unlock the doors from any outside door handle, unlock the cargo door, and start the van, all without removing the key from the pocket or purse. Intelligent Access standard on the E-Transit doesn’t offer a sensor on the rear doors, so you’ll have to reach a front handle to unlock the rear door.

The ProMaster EV’s LED headlights produce a white, bright light using less electricity than the E-Transit’s xenon high intensity discharge (HID) headlights. HID headlights can be slow to reach full brightness or power cycle, causing issues when flashing them to signal other vehicles; LED headlights light instantly. LED lights also last about three to four times as long.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the ProMaster EV has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The E-Transit doesn’t offer cornering lights.

The ProMaster EV’s standard outside mirrors include heating elements to clear off the mirrors for better visibility. Ford charges extra for heated mirrors on the E-Transit.

The ProMaster EV’s power mirror controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The E-Transit’s power mirror controls are on the dash where they are possibly hidden by the steering wheel and are awkward to manipulate.

On extremely cold winter days, the ProMaster EV’s standard heated steering wheel provides comfort, allowing the driver to steer safely and comfortably before the vehicle heater warms up. The E-Transit doesn’t offer a heated steering wheel.

Compared to traditional radio, the Ram ProMaster EV’s standard SiriusXM satellite radio provides an unmatched listening experience. Its extensive coverage guarantees consistent, crystal-clear reception across the continental U.S., and access to over 100 channels dedicated to a multitude of genres, including music, news, sports, talk shows, and comedy, many with only limited commercial breaks. Satellite radio costs extra on the E-Transit.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Ram ProMaster EV offers an optional wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the front center console. The E-Transit doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.
